The backswing—the moment of truth
The transition from backswing to downswing is crucial.
The sequence begins at the ground. The weight moves to the left foot and the hips turn toward the target.
The end of the grip moves in the direction of the ball. The configuration is perfect.
Right after impact, the two arms are fully extended to drive the head of the club along the line of play.
A good posture allows you to generate considerable speed and remain balanced in a fluid movement.
The knees are slightly bent, the chest is tilted forward from the pelvis, the lower back is straight, the shoulders are relaxed, the arms hang loosely, the chin is lifted.
For a drive, the inside of the feet are spread a shoulder-width apart, with slightly more weight on the right foot. The ball is at the left heel. The right shoulder is a touch lower than the left.
